Ryan Collingwood began his career in Washington, D.C., before moving to New York City, where he worked backstage on runway shows with Garren NY on Fifth Avenue, Styling for designers like Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui. He later brought that high-fashion influence to San Diego, opening his first salon in 2006 - named Best of San Diego by San Diego Magazine in 2008 - Ryan has been known for his refined blonding, precision cuts,and effortlessly lived-in hair tailored to you.
After starting a family, Ryan relocated to Vail, Colorado, where his vision evolved. During the pandemic, he launched a new concept inspired by his signature style and love of Elvis—introducing the Ryan Collingwood brand and founding Blue Suede Salon, later expanding to a second location in Franklin, Tennessee.
Now back in San Diego, Ryan is reestablishing his presence while continuing to serve clients in Vail. Known for expert blonding, precision cuts, and effortless, low-maintenance styles, his work is tailored to each individual—designed to grow out beautifully and fit real life.
